Really good advice – thanks, Pam for the very useful and practical tips. I am just starting on this writing path and these are great postmarks to bear in mind, when I get to them – which I hope should be in the not too distant future!

Thanks, we all need common-sense reminders like these of client-relationship do's and don'ts. As a freelancer it's so easy to think the client is ignoring you, has forgotten you, or "doesn't like you anymore" when you don't get the response you want from them. It's almost always something else, something you didn't think of, and usually it's one of those demands in that "The problem is . . ." paragraph under #10 above.
