  • Hi Heather,
Thanks for interviewing Jim, Christina and Marianne. All three of them had something worthwhile to share. Jim’s “study yourself” Christina’s “keeping clients updated” Marianne’s “give more value than your clients expect”
All three recommend get out there and start doing and keep doing -being consistent in what you do…schedule your work – sit down and do the work when you think about it.
Use a tracking system of how many hours you are working, e.g. billable hours (QuickBooks has this feature)

Choose a niche that you do like and understand…it makes all the difference. Both Marianne & Christina agree on that point.
When developing skill don’t get caught drowning in information of how to do it… start doing it instead. Do stay up to date as possible-read books, blogs, streamline what you plan to use for marketing yourself.

Make use of whatever social networks you choose to be involved with. Get involved in their groups…speak out… Let people know what you do. Tell them you are a writer and let people respond to that statement.
