7 Success Habits for Wealthy Web WritersDear Wealthy Web Writer,

When I purchased my copy of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey a few years ago, 15 million had already been sold. Today, more than 25 million copies of the book have been sold worldwide.

Why is this book so popular?

The answer is simple. It has a fabulous headline and the content makes the reader feel like they can be “highly effective” too.

But there is a more important question here: Why are so many people buying this book?

Obviously, people feel a great need to be highly effective in their lives.

Three years ago, I recognized I wasn’t as effective in my life as I thought I should be. I needed to sharpen my focus skills. But I also realized I wasn’t alone. Lack of focus is the number one problem for new copywriters. (You can read my original Reality Blog here where it all starts.)

Today, as I step down from the Reality Blog, I am taking with me 7 new habits that are helping me stay on track and re-sharpen my focus when necessary.

7 Life-Changing Habits

Habit #1 — DON’T WAIT

It took me a while to get my first customer. I was studying AWAI’s programs and procrastinating on reaching out to friends, family, and past colleagues. Finally, I phoned a friend and offered to do a website analysis in exchange for a testimonial. He said yes. Later, he had me rewrite his content.

You don’t have to wait until you know everything. You may never get started in that case. Just do it. Don’t wait. Get it done.

  • Thanks for these great tips, Marianne. I’ve enjoyed reading your blogs and hope we continue to hear from you. Merry Christmas and best wishes for a successful 2016!

  • This is a great article Marianne.

All of these are important habits that writers need to incorporate into their writing lives. The one I like most though is Habit#2. Keeping your vision securely in your mind can help you to achieve your focus and goals and get over distractions more easily.

All the best for 2016, and the next phase of your Writers life.
