I’m slowly coming down off my post-Bootcamp high. My suitcase is unpacked and put away. The laundry’s done… well almost. The leftovers that were still in the fridge from before I left have been cleaned out; and the dishes are done.
Gave the kids their souvenirs (aka sorry-you-couldn’t-come-to-Florida gifts).
I finished and submitted the article I had promised to my client this week. And I’ve decided which Job Fair Spec Assignments I’m going to complete and in what order.
Whew! Now I’m finally getting a chance to look through my notes and let it all sink in… so much useful stuff.
Despite the inch-thick spiral-bound booklet full of notes that I brought back, much of what I learned isn’t written. It wasn’t recorded either.
I got so much more from the Bootcamp experience itself. The experience of reconnecting with people I met last year. Of seeing — in person — the people in my peer group… people I’ve begun to build relationships with over the past year… some of whom I met for the first time. People I’ve begun to call friends.
