It’s a New Year!
Time to learn to write 19 instead of 18 every time we write the date. If you’re anything like me, by the time that habit is ingrained, it’ll be near time to change it again. Thankfully, when I start typing the date in MS Word, the auto-suggest fills the rest in for me, so at least my writing projects should all refer to the right year.
For many people, it’s also time for resolutions and new goals.
If you’ve read some of my other articles about goals, you may know that I’m not the type of person to set New Year’s Resolutions. I prefer to set goals… and I like to look at the present and to the future rather than lingering in the past.
But this week, I’m going to do something different.
This video by one of my favorite vloggers, Marie Forleo, has inspired me to take a look back at the past year. In it, she outlines an exercise for reviewing your year. I’ve adapted her ideas a little for the questions below.
