Writing a Landing Page That Converts – Practice Assignment Review

Tree Growing in Money Soil - Business Growth Concept

Date: June 28, 2019
Time: 12pm (noon), Eastern Time
Topic: Landing Pages
Presenter: Heather Robson

The main goal of a landing page is get the visitor to take action. You might want your reader to subscribe to an email list, to sign up for an online event, to take a survey, or to buy something… just to name of few of the options.

So basically, the landing pages goal is some kind of conversion.

And because technology has gotten really cool, you can do some a lot of things with landing pages that you couldn’t do before… like personalizing them based on a key phrase or a social media audience.

In this webinar, we’ll take a look at landing page copy submitted by your fellow Wealthy Web Writer members to see what is working well and what tweaks can be made to improve the conversions.

If you’re interested in writing better landing page copy for your clients, you won’t want to miss this event. (You can read the Practice Assignment details here.)

Is the text of the presentation available?

By the way, if you REALLY want to help out newbies, create a step-by-step process for how best to get started. See Emmanuel’s comment from April.

I have spent a small fortune taking courses. Each course presents something valuable, but I am still wandering in the desert and I don’t have 40 years left. I desperately need a roadmap – a guide that says first do this, then do this, etc.

If there is such a thing, please point me to it asap. If not, PLEASE get someone to write it immediately.

Maybe some people don’t need this, but almost all of my colleagues in SOS (or SOL) or whatever it’s called agree totally.

I think I can put words together coherently and persuasively, but not if I don’t know where I’m going. PLEASE!

    • Hal,
Have you checked out the Roadmap Tutorials section under Training Center? Or checked the Resources tab? I’ve found a wealth of information there!
      All the best,

  • Thank you Heather for reviewing my page.I come from sweden and you guessed it, english is not my first language.
I agreed on everything you said there and trust it can be helpful for the subscribers as well. The small things to consider…
Especially one thing I knew when I was finished – the quality- or lack of quality was probably because of me deciding to late to assign for this challenge, and gave myself time pressure. When I was finished I should have considered “testimonials”

I was thinking to myself before subscribing to this assignment, as I go through the AWAI- Accelerated Copywriting Six-Figure Course, why not test this.

I have experience from digital marketing since 6-years back and realized I have not been able to fully apply what I know, maybe partly because english is not my first language. I probably seen 1000’s of landing pages

It was helpful with having one “single” focus.
The language “definitely needs some improvement”
But regardless of this I thought why wait till I am perfect! . I send it and we will see how it goes…
It was fun and worth the effort!
    Thank you 🙂

    • Hi Johan,

I’m so glad you submitted your assignment for review. And I saw a lot of good things in there. We’re never perfect and I think it’s awesome that you’re willing to share your work with others and receive feedback live like this. Thank you!
