Google My Business (GMB) is the business profile you often see at the top of a Google search.
For example, you might search for “restaurants near me.” Google will present a list of nearby restaurants, complete with images, contact details, Google reviews, opening hours, and so on.
Those listings were created using GMB.
Your business could benefit from a GMB profile. If you select the right business segment and use a few keywords, you’ve got a chance to show up in those featured listings.
Not only this, say you’re targeting local SEO for a client. What better way to start than by building a GMB profile for them?
They’ll appear as a listing on page one of a Google search, and they’ll also appear as a listing in Google Maps. Not a bad start to optimizing SEO for a client!
