Writing a website homepage is fun but challenging. That’s because, in a lot of ways, a homepage works harder than any other page on your site.
It has to help first time visitors figure out who you are and what you do. It has to help returning visitors find what’s new and relevant to them. And, usually a homepage has a goal… like to generate leads or make sales.
You need to be able to achieve all of these things in a small number of words. That means every word on your homepage needs to have a purpose.
To help you master the craft of writing a website homepage, Wealthy Web Writer is running a Practice Assignment. Part of that assignment is that you can submit your work for a possible live review during this webinar session.
Whether you submit or not, join me to learn:
- What makes for effective homepage copy.
- How to critically review any piece of writing.
- The things that work best on a homepage.
- And how to make any homepage stronger.
During this review, I’ll look at your submissions and highlight what’s working well, along with offering suggestions to strengthen the copy.
Watching this kind of review — even if it isn’t of your work — can provide a lot of insight into how to tackle this kind of project and can ultimately shorten your learning curve.
So join me! It’ll be fun and definitely worth your while.
