I have a lot of trouble seeing past the 1001 ideas swirling around in my head.
If you’re like me, you’ll always be thinking of the “something else” you should be doing… fixing technical issues with your website, writing new content, adding new content categories, increasing sales of affiliate products, getting new clients, building your email list, updating old content.
The list of 1001 small jobs is endless and ever-growing. Sound familiar?
And then there’s all those things we know we “should” be doing on social media, to keep up with its relentless demands… finding relevant content to share, responding to comments, posting consistently, commenting on others’ posts.
I also have scores of ideas about growing my Money-Making Website, Top Wire Traveller, and about growing my income.
All these small tasks build into a mountain of Things To Do. It can be overwhelming.
But are all these small tasks simply an excuse? Are they an excuse to avoid what I know I need to do?
Breaking into Pieces
Some people instinctively recognize the best way forward, the correct approach to take.
Now, you’d think I’d fall into this category, given my background as an engineer.
I’ve worked on hundreds of complex projects, designing machines and equipment for all sorts of weird and wonderful automated tasks.
The path from concept to functioning machine requires clarity and purpose… a clear path forward, a set of logical steps you must follow from start to finish.
Fortunately, I was born with the ability to visualize.
