Social media scheduling tools are a great way to stay on top of your social media commitments.
Whether you’re running a Money-Making Website, promoting your own business, or managing social media for a client, scheduling tools take the stress out of continually having to schedule new content.
I use Hootsuite and Tailwind. Let’s have a look at them and get a better understanding of which social media channels you’d use them for.
Hootsuite
I started using Hootsuite when I had to schedule to Facebook and Twitter for Top Wire Traveller. Surprisingly, the gurus like Neil Patel recommend re-scheduling links to each blog post at least six times per year.
The logic behind this? Only a tiny fraction of your audience will see each post… especially on Twitter. So, you’ll reach a larger audience by re-scheduling often.
Since Twitter’s feed spins faster than the wheels on a slot machine, I re-scheduled each post every month for 15 months. This way, there was a chance at least a few people would see each post.
I also had one post (sometimes two) scheduled for every day.
As you might know by now, I’ve dropped Twitter. But I still use Hootsuite. Why? Because it’s so versatile. You can use Hootsuite for:
- Google My Business
- YouTube
And, you can manage multiple accounts.
Say you have a Money-Making Website, a business website, and you manage a client’s social media. You can have them all on Hootsuite… all in the one place. So you no longer need to log into and out of multiple social media accounts.
Here’s a useful explainer video from Hootsuite.

The standout feature of Hootsuite? How easy it is to reschedule posts and to post across multiple platforms:
- You simply create a post, then select “Schedule and Duplicate.”
- Then you change the description and/or the social media channel you want to schedule to.
- Rinse and repeat.
Now, what are the limitations of Hootsuite?
