How long does it take to make money as a copywriter? Six months while you work through The Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting and read up here on Wealthy Web Writer?
Years while you struggle to drill down and find your ideal client?
Days while you prep a pitch and find a target prospect?
When the real answer finally dawned on me, it really stunned me.
An Important Mindset Shift
If I’ve learned anything in the past year, it’s that everything about being a copywriter — success or failure — starts in the mind.
How I think about possibilities, potential, money… It changes the outcome. If I think there are few potential clients in my niche, then I seem to find only one or two a month. If I think there are hundreds of potential clients in my niche, I seem to find at least one a day.
One of the big things to get the right mindset about is money.
I don’t know about you, but I’m always trying to work on my relationship with money:
- Do I want it too much?
- Do I fear or hate money?
- Do I want money for the right reasons?
- Do I keep money in its proper place in my priorities?
- Is money a scant resource or an abundant one?
Now, that last question is a doozy. I heard it phrased that way in a business-building webinar I recently attended, and it really made me stop and think.
