By the time you read this, the last yearly Reality Blogger interview between Heather Robson and yours truly will have been up for a while. It was an interesting interview for me, because a year ago I probably would have paid a lot of money for the chance to hear how my year would turn out.
- Would I succeed?
- What would my success look like?
- Would I finally be living my dream of the writer’s life?
And like most things in life, by the time the answers to those burning questions became available, something else had become more important to me.
It’s really funny how that works… how that thing that was of monumental, life-changing importance a year — or even a week — ago is suddenly almost a second thought, and something more important and more pressing has bubbled (or rocketed) to the top of your priority list.
The one question that Heather asked me that really set me back on my heels and made me realize just how much has changed in my life — both recently and over the course of my time as a copywriter —was “What accomplishment are you most proud of this year?”
It seems like a perfectly natural question to ask, but trying to answer it felt really weird.
